TRAILIO Privacy Policy

1. Overview

TRAILIO is an offline-first notebook and organization application. Most of the content you create in the app is stored locally on your device. TRAILIO does not sell your personal information.

2. Information Stored by TRAILIO

Depending on the features you use, TRAILIO may store the following information locally on your device:

• Notebook names, page names, notes, tasks, and other content you create.
• Photos, videos, audio recordings, and other media that you choose to add to your notebooks.
• QR-code and notebook identifiers used to connect physical notebook pages or stickers with content in the app.
• Application preferences, such as language and display settings.
• Local notification and productivity settings needed for features such as reminders and timers.

This information is primarily stored locally on your device and is not automatically uploaded to TRAILIO servers.

3. Camera and QR Scanning

TRAILIO may request access to your device camera when you use the QR-scanning feature. The camera is used to scan QR codes and identify notebooks, pages, or stickers.

TRAILIO does not use the camera feature to continuously record video, and scanned QR information is used by the app for its notebook functionality.

4. Photos, Videos, Audio, and Files

If you choose to add media or files to TRAILIO, the app may request the corresponding device permission or file-picker access. The selected content is used to provide the notebook and media features you requested.

TRAILIO does not upload selected media to TRAILIO-owned servers as part of normal offline use.

5. Optional Google Drive Backup

TRAILIO may provide an optional backup and restore feature using Google Drive. If you choose to use this feature, TRAILIO will request the Google permissions required for the backup and restore operation.

Backup data is stored in your Google Drive account rather than on TRAILIO-owned servers. Your use of Google Drive is also subject to Google's own terms and privacy practices.

You can continue using TRAILIO without enabling Google Drive backup.

6. Data Sharing and Sale

TRAILIO does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

TRAILIO does not routinely share your locally stored notebook content with third parties. If you voluntarily use an external service, such as Google Drive backup, the information needed to provide that feature is handled by that service according to its own policies.

7. Data Security

TRAILIO is designed with an offline-first approach, which keeps much of your content on your device. You are responsible for protecting access to your device and for maintaining any backups you choose to create.

No method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

8. Data Retention and Deletion

Locally stored TRAILIO content remains on your device until you delete it through the app, clear the app's data, or uninstall the app, subject to your device's operating-system behavior.

If you use Google Drive backup, backup copies may remain in your Google Drive until you delete them through the applicable Google Drive controls.

9. Children's Privacy

TRAILIO is not directed specifically to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through TRAILIO's own servers.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to TRAILIO, its features, or applicable requirements. The updated policy will be published at this URL with a revised effective date.
